The Coromandel is truly stunning! coastal drives - the only place I have had a wave go over my car whilst driving as the road is right beside the ocean. windy scenic roads, beautiful beaches and sunsets. A visit to “Hot water beach” didn’t disappoint. packed our shovel and as suggested we arrived 2 hours before low tide.

Heading away - here’s some great plumbing tips for your home. 🏠 👌

Chances are if you're a property owner in Ballarat, you know this guy.

Jamie Sleep has owned and operated Sleep's Plumbing since 1997 and now has nine staff on the books. While no longer on the tools (unless absolutely necessary), he still has plenty to do. We asked him what he enjoys about plumbing and got some tips on taking care of things at home to avoid those common plumbing disasters.

"I like being able to help people by diagnosing problems and solving issues. It's always interesting and I get to meet great people."

Is there a job from the past that still gives you nightmares?
"About 25 years ago when I was a young guy just starting out, I misread the plans for a new home and laid the sewer pipes in the wrong place, but I only noticed the mistake after the concrete slab was laid. I had a guy on a jackhammer for two days breaking up the concrete so we could fix it. It still haunts me."

What are your plumbing tips for people going on holiday?
1) Turn off your water meter, so if anything goes wrong, your house won't flood.
2) Turn off your gas meter too.
3) Clean your spouts, box gutters and roof of any leaves and clutter in case there's a heavy downpour.
4) Don't flush baby wipes down the toilet - it blocks the pipes and that can cause real problems.

Yesterday was the busiest day ever at airports in the US, with the TSA reporting 2,884,783 people screened. It was also an incredibly smooth day of travel with fewer than one-half of one percent of 51,332 scheduled flights canceled.
