Left Wentworth Wednesday, had to visit Mildura Aldi for coffee pods and Sydney tools for a reciprocating saw, cos me and my chainsaw seem to have issues. Lunch from the Renmark bakery on the river front. Then on to my favourite place on the river for a couple of nights before heading to Adelaide for a footy grand final & an 80th birthday

Left Tibooburra Friday morning did a Milparinka drive by, fuel & shopping in Broken Hill, then onto a free camp off the road to Wentworth. Now on the Murray a few hundred metres downstream from lock 10. About a kilometre from the convergence of the Darling & the Murray. I'll explore Wentworth & surrounds over the next couple of days

Thursday left Noccundra to head south back into NSW, pulled up in Tibooburra, unhitched the van & headed out to Cameron's corner, lots of flies & the store was closed this week so no tri state golf. Had to have a beer out of my fridge at the corner post, then dinner at the Family Hotel in Tibooburra

Monday left Birdsville, given the road closures on the Birdsville & Strzelecki tracks headed back through Betoota & Windorah to overnight at a slightly different spot on Coopers Creek, then off to Eromanga Tuesday, they claim to be the furthest pub from the ocean.

Birdsville races, what a blast, got VIP pavilion tickets & was glad I did. I had a seat with some really nice people, different both days, cocktail style Friday & set seating Saturday, plenty of good food & beers, no good on the punt though

Tuesday morning, I left Coopers Creek, fuelled up in Windorah, then aimed for the Betoota hotel, a real outback pub, had a couple of beers, a lovely sunset, then got up to continue the journey to Birdsville, went and paid the most for diesel I ever have, rolled in the town common, set up had lunch & relaxed. Will explore the town & possibly Big Red tomorrow
