๐ WHALE WATCHING WEATHER UPDATE ๐
A little heads-up for everyone looking at joining us over the next week!
Weโve got a beautiful little weather window coming up Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, and these are looking like our pick of the days to get out there. ๐โ๏ธ
Monday afternoon we are heading out for our inaugural Pelagic birding charter to the Ballina Byron Canyons.
From Wednesday onwards, a pretty serious southerly system is currently forecast to hit our coastline, bringing strong winds and 3m+ seas. Wednesday and Thursday are looking very unlikely at this stage, with Friday also a little questionable.
Weโre happy to give the forecast another day or two before making any final calls โ we just donโt want anyone to miss out on the premium weather days while we have them!
Weโre a small, local family business, born and raised right here in Ballina, and weโve spent our lives on this coastline reading these forecasts and watching the ocean.
We even chose not to operate today because we felt it would have been uncomfortable for our guests. Just because we *can* go doesnโt always mean we should.
We want the absolute best for our community and everyone who chooses to come whale watching with us โ good weather, a comfortable boat and the best experience we can possibly give you. ๐
If youโve been thinking about coming out, Sunday through Tuesday is looking like the window!
And if youโre ever unsure about the weather, give us a call in the office! Along with raising our little darling Sayla - Next generation skipper, Cori is constantly surfing and deep-diving into the forecasts, helping us get you guys out on the best days possible.
Thatโs what we built BBMA around from day one โ honest local advice, putting safety and comfort first, and genuinely wanting every person who comes out with us to experience Ballina and our coastline at its absolute best. ๐๐
