🚁 GET TO KNOW OUR PILOT – Hylton “Hylto” 🚁
Meet the man behind the controls! If you’ve been lucky enough to fly with us, chances are you might have met the legend himself – Hylton “Hylto”, owner of and an integral part of our Punsand Bay Aviation family.
✈️ How long have you been flying?
Over 41 years! Hylton first started flying while building resorts, using helicopters to travel between remote job sites. The rest, as they say, is history.
🚁 What can you fly?
Twin-engine and single-engine aircraft, piston and turbine helicopters – if it has wings or rotors, there’s a good chance Hylton can fly it.
💙 Favourite helicopter?
The Squirrel.
🌴 Most memorable job?
Flying National Park surveys across Cape York in the Jet Ranger. “The coastline and scenery are something you’ll never forget.”
😎 Nickname?
Hylto.
🏠 Where is home?
Winton, QLD
❤️ What would you be doing if you weren’t flying?
“I wouldn’t be doing anything else. Flying is my passion. It’s always what I wanted to do, and I still love every moment of it—even after all these years.”
