In mid-October there was a loss in the family when Sunny at the age of 16 1/2 passed away. If you look above the entry door of the coach she is named in Sunny's honour. The photo of her is in her final days. An awful lot of sleeping.

It's been a while, but 2024 finished with a bang. As I look back on the year, I'm extremely proud of how Countrywide Coaches is holding its own with the coach and I up for any and all adventures. Here's a small snapshot of photos involving some of those journeys. Here's to the adventures of the coming year.

During some recent downtime, the coach had some open-heart surgery to fix a small oil leak. I figured while we're at it, let's do anything that could be a future problem. That's not to say there won't be any, I just hope there isn't. In case you are wondering, a V8 engine block like this weighs around 1.3 tonnes (a small car). Thanks to Brent at Atchison Truck Repairs, Gosford, for looking after the coach.

What do you do when you can't get to the Snowy Mountains, but don't have time and you live in Canberra? You head for the Corin Forest Snow Resort to satisfy your hankering. It's in the ranges not far from Tidbinbilla. A great snow play location for school kids from across the country, and their first dealings with snow. Man made snow in the ranges of Canberra. A bit of a hidden gem.

2023 was not the best snow season on record. At least my group was only up there to build snowmen, and chuck snowballs at each other. Note the lack of snow on the ski runs behind the coach in the second photo. This was mid-August.
They still had a great time.

We took a recent trip to King Edward Park in Newcastle with some of the locals from Hornsby. What a great day out, and a fun crew. Perfect weather, and a couple of whale sightings added to the day.
It's nice to give back.

Not a trip this week, just something a bit different. What's the point of large panoramic windows in Australia, if you can't block them from the heat of summer! So, these new curtains come from www.coachcurtains.com.au the curtain supplier to Coach Concepts. Not overly expensive in the scheme of things, but they give the saloon a much nicer finish. Drop the team a line and see if they can help. This is not an ad, I paid retail!
