Today is a celebration of a colourful part of Tahitian culture, the pāreu! Worn by men and women, as a skirt or a dress or used as a beach towel, light blanket or a covering for an armchair or table, the pareo is the most versatile textile. 💛 Today we encourage the entire population to wear a pāreu for the day! 💃

Today, 20th May, The Islands of Tahiti celebrate Matari'i i raro, the season of slowing and renewal. With the end of the wet season, we enter a drier, cooler period where less grows and the Pleiades constellation disappears from the night sky. ✨🌌

A moment that does not feel real 🐢 Sea turtles are often seen in the lagoons, moving slowly and effortlessly through the water.
Swimming nearby is one of those experiences that stays long after the trip ends.💙

Fun fact: Some turtles return to the same beaches where they were born.
