Full circle moment here. Heather and her friend Bev(not pictured) met me on the platform at Bassano del Grappa In May last year.
They are both from Perth. They knew nothing about me or even . Bev saw on Instagram and with blind faith decided it was for them.
We had such a memorable week together and so much so they are both joining me again in September.
Heather is here visiting her friend and they have come and had a two night stay in Barwon Head.
From first meeting in Italy to now sitting in Annie's ❤️❤️❤️

Ciao Ragazzi
It's been a minute since I've been on here due to the craziness since I got back from Italy 6 months ago.
So I'd like to re introduce myself to those who started following recently.
I grew up with an Australian mother and Italian father with a foot in both camps at a time when it was so not cool to be of Italian anything.
My first trip to Italy was in 1979 and I had my eighth birthday there. The smells , sounds and tastes were intoxicating and I didn't want to come back home. This(Italy) felt more like home.
Fast forward many decades later with a career in the hospitality industry leading to me opening my own hospitality venue in Barwon's Heads with Italian produce in 2004 (still not cool).
2016 sees me reconnected with family back in italy(Veneto region) and snowballs to with the first tour 6 months later.
If you want an authentic and genuine glimpse to the real Italy that's bespoke and small group (max8 people) that's from the heart then join me in September 2026.

I thought I would share my experiences on the last two weeks travelling to Malta & Sicily

Malta & Gozo: These two sure are a hotspot at the moment!! We spent 24 hours in Valletta before getting the ferry to Gozo. We ❤️❤️❤️ Valletta. The people were amazingly friendly and so helpful. Gozo we had been told was amazing and yes the beaches were great but I have to be honest I felt like I was in a war torn country. Hot dry and desolate. Yes I know it's summer. We enjoyed Gozo with friends but to be honest I wouldn't rush back. Once again the people really made it for me with some very nice scenic spots. Our itinerary had been planned by a born and bred Gozo so we were off the beaten track as much as possible.
Sicily: It had been 10 years since my last time here and it did not disappoint. We really got to the grassroots spending time getting to know incredible history and traditions from those living and breathing Sicilian life.
Our last stop was meeting Seby who owns a winery on Mt Etna which was very special.

One of my most favourite things is connecting with like minded people both personally and professionally.
Meet Benji and Susi from .italy. They provide amazing cycling tours in the Veneto region and now we will be adding a day tour on electric bikes to
Beautiful scenery taking it all in with coffee along the way and a beautiful lunch. Nothing serious just a casual stroll to fully take in your surrounds as there is no better way than on a bike!
So excited to add another amazing experience.
