Return guests ventured into nearby Lamington National Park a couple of weekends ago in hope of hiking a significant distance, however, the weather quickly deteriorated with driving wind and rain, so their trip was shortened.
Glad their stay was enjoyed despite the necessary change of plan.

Every couple of years (on average) some of our family set off from the Lost World Valley - home of Eighteen Mile - and into nearby Lamington National Park for an overnight hike up to O’Reillys.

It’s certainly not easy travel due to significant rock-hopping required, and unmarked, overgrown tracks to tackle, however, the gorgeous scenery, panoramic views, and satisfying sense of achievement once completed, makes the trip well worth the challenges along the way.

Feeling the summer season coming quickly! Dips in the homestead pool have already begun.
