Our team of Stuart, Sophie, Vanessa, June and Jo have landed in Helsinki and are ready to welcome guests for the start of our exclusive journey - Svalbard Explorer — Best of the High Arctic.

There is a wonderful energy in the air as everyone gathers ahead of this very special voyage.

Over the coming days, we will be sharing moments from one of the world’s most extraordinary destinations — remote Arctic landscapes, incredible wildlife, and of course, live performances from the legendary Daryl Braithwaite onboard the Ocean Explorer.

Our exclusive group sets off for the top of the world in a few days.

Our group arrives in Helsinki on 30 May — one night in this beautiful city before we fly north to Longyearbyen, Svalbard on 31 May to board the Quark Expeditions Ocean Explorer and head deep into the High Arctic.

Polar bears roaming the ice, walrus colonies, Arctic foxes, and seabird cliffs that stretch as far as the eye can see. And in the evenings?
