🌲 Autumn is a peak time for recreational use of NSW State forests 🎯 R-Licensed hunters share public land with a variety of other users, such as bush walkers, mushroom gatherers, horse riders and forestry staff.

⬆ With increasing numbers of hunters butchering deer and other game animals for ethically harvested, organic meat, here are some carcass disposal tips to help maintain public hunting areas and meet community expectations ✅

🔸 Always dispose of harvested animal carcasses thoughtfully and away from campsites, public roads and water bodies.
🔸 At a minimum, cover animal waste and offal with dead vegetation and rocks.

👉 We know there are many reasons the public may come across carcasses on public land, but it’s important that animals harvested through regulated hunting are disposed of correctly ✅
