🎶Recently we celebrated Australian storytelling through song with one of the country’s best Mickthomasliterally at the Black Swan Hotel Bendigo. 🎸 You may not be aware that our chief guide Jamie also took to the stage to perform a few songs he’s written about the Bendigo gold-rush. ⛏️

🐉This song is about a Chinese Miner Yuck Yung, who lived and worked in Bendigo in the 1860s. Yung, as he would have been known, was a man of letters which revealed a little about his life. Shout out to the fabulous Jane Palethorpe on violin and Andrew Pitcher on mandolin for helping out with the song. 👏💐

❄️It may have been chilly but the venues were warm and welcoming on last Saturday’s A Taste of Bendigo Foodie Walking Tour.🍷 Our wonderful guests including locals and visitors were soon chatting away like old friends, while being treated to seasonal dishes, local wines, small-batch beer and a seasonal cocktail.🍸
