My favourite lunch spot in Bendigo?” Easy. Chancery Lane. In this video I head to two of my regular foodie tour favourites.. The Dispensary Bar & Diner and El Gordo, to show you a couple of quick, affordable lunches that seriously punch above their weight.

There’s a cauliflower bao bun that may have finally healed my childhood trauma from Mum boiling cauliflower to death in the 70s 😆 and beef tacos so good I ended up wearing half the sauce on my face. Honestly, impossible to avoid.🤷‍♂️

Check out these spectacular paintings by talented local artist Harold Beck, depicting our Lady Luck statue and our stunning French inspired old Post Office, now the Bendigo Visitor Centre. 👏👏

Harold’s art is on display in the foyer of the old T&G Building (Bendigo Antiques & Collectables) as part of Eat Drink Art 2026, where fabulous local artists are showing off their work in participating venues within the View Street Arts Precinct. 🎨 Look for the pavement sticker for participating venues.

Another fantastic reason to visit Bendigo and mark Saturday 13th June in your calendar when there will be an artists market along View Street between 10am and 2pm. 📆

Last Friday our Bendigo after Dark Ghost Tour was lots of fun with a great group of guests enjoying the stories and the atmosphere of this spooky adventure. 🦇 Once again it was the guests' turn at the end of the evening to share their own ghost stories, by lantern light in the cellar of the historic Black Swan Hotel. 🏮 We heard stories of unexplained figures, childhood hauntings and family legends, and we can't wait to do it all again on Friday 5th June!

This is an appreciation post for my friend Gail who helped us out yesterday on a video we are making for Visit Victoria. 🎥 I met Gail when her lovely daughters brought her on a Foodie Tour for Mothers Day last year. Gail has become one of my biggest supporters, and I have learnt she is one of Bendigo’s greatest advocates. From raising money for the Harcourt fire victims to chasing me down in the street to offer my guests a discount for a shop she is championing, Bendigo is very lucky to have Gail in our corner.
