ReBoot in Bermagui 2024 was an ABSOLUTE BLAST👏🥳🤩Literally 100's of participants made it the best ever, fitting for the event's 10 year celebration. Everyone, whether they participated or spectated, had so much fun.

⚠️ For people in Snowy Mountains and parts of South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Australian Capital Territory and Illawarra Forecast Districts.

Damaging winds over the alps, expanding and increasing across southeastern NSW during Friday morning.

Weather Situation: A strong pressure gradient across southeast Australia will increase, resulting in strengthening winds ahead of a front crossing Victoria during Friday.

For ALPINE PEAKS above 1900 metres: DAMAGING WINDS averaging 85 to 105 km/h with peak gusts of around 125 km/h are expected much of Friday.

For parts of the ACT, SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL TABLELANDS, BLUE MOUNTAINS, SOUTH COAST AND SNOWY MOUNTAINS: DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts up to 100 km/h possible from early Friday morning, with the greatest risk for lower elevations from mid-morning through to mid-afternoon.

Damaging winds should contract to higher elevations late Friday afternoon, easing below warning thresholds throughout by late Friday night.

Locations which may be affected include Nowra, Bowral, Braidwood, , Katoomba, Goulburn, Cooma, Bombala, Nimmitabel and Thredbo Top Station.

Significant wind observations to 4:30 am Friday include:

107 km/h mean winds were recorded at Thredbo Top Station at 2:00 am.

126 km/h wind gust was recorded at Thredbo Top Station at 12:35 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:

🛝 Secure any outdoor furniture & play equipment
🌳 Trim back any branches that may fall
🚗 Avoid parking your car under trees
⚡️Keep at least 8 meters away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
