Today, children in this landscape face overcrowded classrooms — sometimes 90 to a single teacher — and schools stretched far beyond their means.

Fugitives’ Drift Lodge has long been a place of remembrance, but it is also a place of care. As part of our enduring commitment to this land and its people, the work of the David Rattray Foundation — known locally as KHULA Education — provides quality education and employment opportunities to over 6,450 children and young people each year

Our organised tours involve beautiful accommodation which are all luxury personified and games at the best South African courses - Leopard Creek on the banks of the Crocodile River; Fancourt, Pezula, Simola and Pinnacle Point on the Garden Route; the Gary Player Country Club and the Lost City golf courses of Sun City.

Our safari experiences are state of the art - Jock Safari Lodge in it’s own private conservancy within Kruger National Park; their sister lodges at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve 3 hours drive from Cape Town; and Settlers Drift at Kariega Game Reserve, the Eastern Cape.
