10 years ago today Sonya and Duncan created history for themselves and Pike River by being our first wedding couple. Thank you for your vision, trust, patience and sharing of a beautiful day that started a whole new chapter for Pike River Villas.
Always a special day in our memory.

A change of booking dates for one of our guests means Pike River Redgum is available next weekend Friday-Sunday, January 27th-29th. If you are keen to see the water while it's up- now is the time!

As we head towards the New Year we thought it would be interesting to show everyone how the views are looking at Pike River. Our villas all have more expansive views than normal but sit well above any high water. We understand people’s wariness however our little piece of the beautiful Riverland is still a fantastic place to relax and unwind with extra special views. Special thanks to Summer and Harmony, Pike River’s own videographers.

Thanks for the support of all Riverland businesses in these high river times. Redgum is now booked for the weekend. A recent photo taken at Stone is below. For people that know our site it may look a little different but not significantly- the water seems a little higher and a fraction closer! Thank you again- see you in the Riverland soon.

Late cancellation for Redgum for Friday and Saturday nights December 2nd-4th. What an amazing place in the Riverland we are blessed to live! The recent and current weather patterns have made us aware than ever of how Mother Nature holds us so delicately...
We are experiencing a spectacular change in our beautiful Pike and majestic Murray Rivers which both sit at our doorstep. People have been drawn understandably to our clifftop to marvel at the abundance of water that is now moving in front of us as the rivers rise. While the power of the water is obvious people have been concerned that it may have an impact on our site. While we will lose our riverfront lawn for weddings for a few months and our solar panels for our pump needs lifting nothing else is of major concern as we see the water rise and we thank our Council for making sure we build well above the 56 flood level!
A couple of photos below show how our rivers currently look at our site. The Riverland has grown as a tourist destination so greatly in the last few years that we often forget how much there is to see and do. While there are a few businesses that have had to go in to caretaker mode to ensure the safety of their sites and people the majority of our tourism friends are still operating and looking forward to welcoming visitors. We encourage everyone to use the current rising river to embrace all that the Riverland has developed over the past years- we are so proud of our region and our tourism friends and partners, and now is the perfect time to experience a special time where there is an abundance of water- a true Riverland blessing for everyone to experience and enjoy- How good is this place- we can't wait to see you here! PS- we are also just about to launch a slight refresh on our website- in fact it's happening tonight! A perfect time to remind people about our beautiful region- watch out for our refreshed website.....we love the Riverland!

Our region is still very much open for business and ‘Riverlanders’ are here to welcome you to witness the beauty of our unique part of the Murray River and surrounding waterways.

High river flows and floods are a natural process that keep the Murray River environment healthy, strong and sustainable. It creates many lasting benefits, including new growth and germination of native plants and trees, breeding of native fish, frogs, yabbies and waterbirds🌱🐸

A wide range of Riverland experiences are still here to be enjoyed, such as wineries, museums, local retail shops, kids playgrounds and many places to taste local food, beverages and produce 🍇🛍☕️

Our best advice is to plan ahead, book your accommodation in advance, check for road and ferry closures and of course, our friendly Riverland Visitor Information Centres are always there to help📲

With all the uncertainty around events we have regrettably decided to cancel our Budburst Festival for this year. Budburst is a fantastic small scale festival designed to showcase our ever-growing range of quality Riverland wines. 2021 was looking great with over 14 wineries taking part. We now look forward to a fantastic 2022 where we will be ready to celebrate with you all.
There is always good news with the bad!!! The good news is we have now just released our accommodation for the weekend - all villas are available as 2 night stays for Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th of August. If you have time to visit our beautiful Riverland region here's the weekend to visit and there will still be plenty of spectacular Riverland Wine to try at our Riverland Wine Centre while you're here!!!
