Freycinet vineyard taking home the GOLD!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
We’re thrilled to share some amazing news today – Claudio Radenti and the Freycinet Vineyard team have taken home a swag of trophies at the prestigious Australian and New Zealand Boutique Wine Show recognising the best wines from quality boutique vineyards in Australia and New Zealand.
Our 2019 Freycinet Chardonnay was awarded trophies for Best Chardonnay, Best White Wine of Show, Best Estate Grown and Produced Trophy before rising above competition from some of Australia and New Zealand’s best boutique wineries to take out the competition’s top prize to be crowned CHAMPION WINE OF SHOW! 🏆
This latest recognition comes after the 2019 Freycinet Chardonnay was last month awarded the Regional Trophy for Best Tasmanian Chardonnay in the James Halliday Chardonnay Challenge.
The wine’s maker Claudio Radenti said: “We are absolutely thrilled and humbled to win such high praise for our 2019 Chardonnay in the prestigious Australian and New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards. To win the Best Wine of Show trophy was beyond our wildest dreams, especially given the other amazing wines in the competition. The award reinforces what an extraordinary place Tasmania is for premium quality wine growing.
2019 was one of the classic great vintages for us on the east coast of Tasmania and we always thought this wine was destined for great things. The win is a result of an amazing effort from our team who work tirelessly to ensure the quality of our wines from vineyard to bottle."
