29/07/2019
It is with sadness that I wish to inform you, our valued friends that effective from today the 29/7/2019 Desert Edge Tours will cease operations.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the business during the time that I owned it. Closing the doors has not been an easy decision to make. Over the course of 7 years in Birdsville I put my heart and soul into building this business into something that I was proud of. A change of circumstances saw me leave Birdsville in April last year and while the tours have been run by a third party during this time it has become apparent that the agreement that the third part and I had was not tenable and that the Bus I had left with the business operations is no longer serviceable, as a result I am now left with no option but to wind up operations.
If you have bookings with Desert Edge Tours please contact the visitor information centre in Birdsville as they will be able to give you other options for fulfilling the bookings that I am no longer able to honour
My sincerest apologies to those that are affected by this closure.
And a heartfelt thank you for all of those that supported me over the years.
And a huge shout out to the community of Birdsville, the birdsville hotel, the birdsville roadhouse, the birdsville fuel Service, the Brook family, Windorah service station, western star hotel, the Forts, the Cooper creek homestay, Regional Express airlines, Troy Minnett and all of the other amazing providers I had the pleasure of working with.
And to all the friends that I made over the years, keep in touch guys, I thank you š¢ā¤ļø
