Do you know what to do when an emergency vehicle comes up behind you with lights and/or sirens on? 👮

🚗 Slow down and move to the left lane or the left hand side of the road.
🚨 If you can't move left safely, stay where you are and let the emergency vehicle overtake you.
🚘 Always prioritise the safety of yourself and all other road users.

What if you’re at an intersection?
In Queensland, the law allows you to drive through a red light to move out of the path of an emergency vehicle, only if it is safe to do so.

When seconds count, it can save lives. Thank you for helping our officers and our fellow emergency services get to where we are needed 💙
