✨ Day 10 – Farewell New Zealand 🇳🇿💙

Our final day was filled with mixed emotions as we said goodbye to what has been an absolutely unforgettable 10-day tour. The growth we’ve seen in these girls — not just on the court, but as individuals — has been incredible to watch. 💪🏽🏐

We started the morning with one last delicious home-cooked brekky before the challenge of fitting all our memories (and souvenirs!) into our bags. A huge thank you to Kura and her wonderful family for their warmth, hospitality, and for sharing so much of their Māori culture with us during our stay — we felt so cared for and truly at home. ❤️

Before heading to the airport, we stopped to take in the stunning views at Karangahake Gorge, a beautiful way to end an amazing adventure. After some travel delays, we finally touched down in Sydney and made our way back to the Central Coast in the early hours this morning — tired, but with hearts full and memories to last a lifetime. ✈️✨

A massive thank you to all our players, coaches, and supporters for making this tour so special.

✨ Day 9 – Our Final Game in Tauranga! ✨

Our last day on court took place at the beautiful Tauranga Netball Centre, and as always, the competition was incredibly strong. Our girls rose to the challenge, showing just how far they’ve come over the past nine days — the improvement and teamwork have been nothing short of remarkable. A huge thank you to Coach Laurie for all her guidance, support, and belief in the team 💙

After the game, both teams came together to share lunch, learn some Māori language, and have a few laughs (and slides!) down the massive local skate ramps 🛝🇳🇿

The afternoon was all about rest and recovery with a peaceful soak at the Fernland Spa, followed by another delicious home-cooked meal from our amazing host, Kura. We wrapped up the night with our tour presentations, perfecting our poi dance, bean boozled and the always-entertaining Coasties Got Talent — the perfect way to end an unforgettable journey together! 🌿💫

Day 8 - We started our morning with a delicious cooked brekky before heading out for a guided tour of Gate Pā Domain – Pukehinahina. It was an eye-opening experience learning about the local history and the devastating events that impacted the Tauranga Māori people.

From there, our girls took on the Mount Maunganui summit climb — with 60% making it to the top to enjoy the breathtaking views! 🏔️💪

We finished the afternoon relaxing in the Mount Maunganui hot pools, the perfect way to unwind before heading back to our marae for dinner and an early night ahead of some tough games tomorrow.

Another incredible day filled with learning, teamwork, and unforgettable memories 💙🇳🇿

Day 7 saw us say goodbye to Rotorua and make our way to Tauranga! Before hitting the road, we enjoyed some souvenir shopping and a lovely stroll through the stunning Government Gardens 🌸

Our girls then hit the court for two great games against Rotorua Intermediate School — coming away with a draw and a narrow loss. Their teamwork, growth, and spirit continue to shine through every match 💪💙

A huge thank you to Mary from Rotorua Netball for organising everything and hosting a delicious pizza afternoon tea after the games — such incredible hospitality! 🍕

From there, it was off to our final destination of the tour, Tauranga, for a well-earned night of rest. One more stop to go on this unforgettable NZ adventure! 🇳🇿✨

Day 6 was a fun-filled adventure for our girls — the perfect break between travel and netball! 💪🌏

We kicked off the morning with some serious laughs rolling down the hills in ZORB Rotorua balls, crashing into each other and having an absolute blast! 🤣 From there, we made a quick stop at the stunning St Faith’s Church in Rotorua, where the geothermal activity (and that unmistakable sulfur aroma!) reminded us just how unique this place is.

Next up was Skyline Rotorua — gondola rides, breathtaking views, and plenty of friendly competition on the luge track! 🚠🏎 Many of our girls even braved the sky swing for an extra thrill!

We finished the day at Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ with an incredible cultural experience and delicious buffet dinner. The erupting geysers, rich traditions, and powerful performances left us all in awe — a truly unforgettable evening. 🌋✨

Day 5 was another early start and our biggest day of the tour so far! We kicked things off with a special celebration — happy birthday to Neriah! 🎉

After packing up and saying farewell to the beautiful Cambridge Community Marae, we hit the road for Rotorua. Our first stop was pure relaxation at the Hells Gate Mud Spa — well deserved after a big few days on court!

Next up was an unforgettable experience at Hobbiton Movie Set, where we enjoyed a guided tour through the iconic movie set before finishing with a private banquet feast at The Millhouse 🍽️✨

A massive shoutout to our legendary tour guide, Ben ( #21) — you made the Hobbiton experience extra special! Your energy, knowledge, and that charming pommy accent had the girls smiling and laughing all night 😄

Day 4 started bright and early with an unforgettable visit to the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves ✨. After that, the girls took part in a specialist netball training clinic, sharpening their skills and building confidence before hitting the courts in Hamilton for a round robin. They came away with 4 wins and just 1 loss – an incredible effort for a team still so new together, showing real growth each game. The day wrapped up with another delicious home-cooked dinner of spaghetti bolognese, fettuccine boscaiola, salad, and garlic bread – the perfect way to refuel after a big day. 🍝🏐💫

Day 3 saw us say goodbye to the beautiful Awataha Marae. The lessons, traditions, and cultural experiences our girls shared here will stay with them forever. A huge thank you to Maria for your warmth and generosity – our hearts are full, and we leave with an even deeper respect and appreciation for Māori culture.
From there, we explored Mount Eden before hitting the road to Hamilton, where the girls enjoyed a well-deserved relaxing night in, eating KFC and watching the footy grand final together. A perfect balance of culture, adventure, and downtime!

Day 2 was jam-packed from start to finish! 💥🏐
Our girls hit the court for their very first game of the tour and absolutely smashed it – such an impressive effort for a team that’s never played together before. 💙

Next up was a fantastic coaching session with Michelle, where the girls picked up some new skills and insights to take into the rest of the tour.

The adventure didn’t stop there – we headed up the iconic Sky Tower for some incredible views (and some well-deserved ice cream 🍦), before wrapping up the day with a delicious Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ feast.

An amazing day of sport, culture, and fun – and we’re only just getting started! 🌏✨

Day 1 of our New Zealand tour is officially underway! 🇳🇿✈️
With 10 players and 10 supporters on board, we kicked things off with a 3am bus ride to the airport (coffee was our best friend ☕️😅) before heading across the ditch.
Our first stop is Auckland, where we’ll spend two nights at the Awataha Marae, soaking up culture, team bonding, and setting the tone for an incredible 12 days ahead. From here, we’ll be taking on teams across Rotorua, Tauranga, Auckland, and Hamilton.
The adventure has begun – stay tuned for plenty of updates, memories, and big games ahead! 💙🏐
