Make A Wave is here! 🏄‍♀️ Today, the Salty team is kicking off the challenge of surfing every day in September alongside thousands of others worldwide, raising funds and awareness for remote surf communities supported by SurfAid.

Salty community, come celebrate with us throughout September! Our FREE Make a Wave events feature two-time world champion surfer Tom Carroll, yoga and more.

Huge thanks to for hosting yoga, Dee Why SLSC for generously donating their space, and 7th Day Brewery and Pizzeria Sale Pepe~ Cucina Italiana for sponsoring our end-of-challenge celebration.

September is going to be a BIG one at Dee Why Salty Surf School 🌊 Here’s what we’ve got coming up:

🏄 Pacific Palms Surf Retreat | 20–22 September
Three days and two nights in beautiful Pacific Palms. Surf, improve your skills, recharge and spend the weekend with a crew of like-minded people.

🌊 URBNSURF Coaching Day | 26 September
A full day at URBNSURF with coaching, surf sessions, video analysis and surf skate training. Plus, we’ve got a 12-seater bus heading from Dee Why.

☀️ Kids School Holiday Program | 28 September – 9 October
School holidays = more time in the water. Full days of surfing, beach games and plenty of fun at Dee Why Beach. All equipment included.

🏄‍♀️ Women’s Surf Programs | Every Week
Our women’s sessions are running throughout September, with groups for different levels. Build confidence, improve your surfing and meet other women in the water.

🛹 Surf Skate Coaching | Wednesdays & Sundays
Take your surfing onto land. Work on balance, flow and technique in a fun, safe environment, with all equipment provided.

🎒 After School Surf | Monday – Friday
Term 3 afternoons are for surfing. Kids can hit the water after school, improve their skills and have fun at Dee Why Beach.

💙 Make A Wave for SurfAid | All September
We’re surfing every day this September for SurfAid’s Make A Wave challenge, helping raise funds for clean water and healthcare in remote communities. Keep an eye out for events, challenges and prizes throughout the month.

Surf, coffee, pastries and good chats. That’s what our DY Community Catch-Ups are all about.

Thanks to everyone who joined us on Sunday for another Salty Surf School community get together and our first Make A Wave social surf.

Our Make A Wave team is taking on the SurfAid challenge of surfing every day throughout September to raise funds and awareness for remote surf communities. Thanks to this incredible crew of 19 legends (and counting) we’re currently leading the fundraising leaderboard! 🙌

A huge thank you to French Basket Dee Why for proudly sponsoring our team and also the catch up with an incredible spread of pastries. The vegan raspberry croissant was definitely a crowd favourite!
