We met one summer at a paragliding takeoff in the French Alps, flew together and dreamt of a life where we could follow our passions and live the lives we really wanted. Ten years later and our lives are, literally, half a world away from there. There have been many adventures, 2 babies and a fledgling business to bring us to our today. When you live in the country and work for yourself there’s not really any necessity to dress up but it makes me feel much better (and manage to get on with more of the jobs I need to do) if I feel like I’ve made a little bit of effort.
I really think about that when buying for Sky Gypsies. Of course everything is breathable cotton but it also needs to be fun but easy styles that you can do all the things in. A bright colour combination always makes me happy to.

The birds are definitely cheering for the Overall ‘Dress’. (📣on). I do hear this so often on my market stall when it comes to overalls and think it’s one of the many reasons this dress version is so so popular!

New cord has arrived just in the nick of time for this freezing weather we are finally getting. Palazzo pants and wide Leg Overalls. I’ll be bringing all this cosiness with me to Mount Beauty on market on Saturday. Catch you there!

Dreaming of sunny days and holidays! My own weather is wet and wild, so it’s nice to daydream… imagining Queensland or Bali (which I have never been to!). Anywhere really where it’s warm enough to run around in a strappy Romper or sundress and enjoy the heat of a balmy evening. 🍹🏖️☀️

We’re past the longest night, still hoping for a real winter but also thinking about sunny days ahead. Turquoise and fuchsia have been 2 of my favourite colours since forever. Here’s a nice combo making me happy. The Emily dress paired with Palazzo pants.

It’s been a wonderful slow month for me here. Both my kids are away (one in Japan for the whole year!!! the other on a 6 week camp) and I’ve been relishing the extra little freedoms it’s given me.
This year I’m really enjoying the turning in and quietening down (not so every year). I’’ve been walking in the hills and woods behind my house, getting stronger and noticing the smaller things… the misty views and multitudes of mushrooms.
I got some sourdough starter from our local food coop and have been trying out my baking. I’m actually so impressed with my results so I’ve been eating fresh bread with thick layers of butter and jam.
Wood has been split and the fire has been on. Slow days watching the view from the windows and getting jobs done in an unhurried way.
One more week until I pick my daughter up and then things will shift again.
