The Ultimate Sprintcar Championship Final is booked into Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, Saturday 13th April.

Weather update for this weekend. A plan B is also explained.

WEATHER UPDATE

We are all systems go as planned for this weekend.

Both the $10,000 to win Ian Boettcher Classic for Super Sedans and the $10,000 to win Toowoomba Steering & Suspension Modified Sedan T-Bar Nationals has become major events on the national speedway calendar. People from all over Australia are already here ready for a great weekend of sedan racing and that is what we plan on delivering.

Regarding the forecast, at the time of writing, there is talk of a 60% chance of an early storm before lunchtime tomorrow (Saturday) before it clearing to a pleasant night. We will have the track prepared in case the storm does arrive. However, given the warm forecast and if it’s only a brief shower, we should have plenty of time to get racing underway at the scheduled time. In the event we get too much and don’t believe we can operate on Saturday night, the show will move forward one day commencing on Sunday 31 December and finishing with a twilight show on Monday 1 January.

We are fully committed to getting this event run this weekend and will do whatever is necessary to ensure that happens. We appreciate everyone’s support.

Cameron Waters will make his Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway debut at the upcoming $30,000 to win NuTrend Homes Quality Homes Red Hot Summer Shootout being held on 5, 6 & 7 January 2024.

BOXING NIGHT CANCELLED

Due to the large amount of rain we’ve had during the past few days and given the forecast for Christmas and Boxing Day has further severe weather to continue, Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway has made the early decision to cancel our Boxing Day event.

As you can imagine, this decision is an extremely tough one to make, but the early call means everyone can enjoy Christmas Day with family and friends without the burden of travelling on wet roads particularly when more severe storm is being forecast.

All pre-purchased tickets to 26 December will be refunded ASAP.

Our next event, the Ultimate Sedan Weekend being held on 30 & 31 December featuring the $10,000 to win Super Sedan Ian Boettcher Classic and the $10,000 to win Toowoomba Steering & Suspension Modified Sedan T-Bar Nationals is ALL SYSTEMS GO.

Unfortunately this event has been rescheduled.

PINK NIGHT POSTPONED

Unfortunately, due to last night’s storms and lack of baking sun this morning, we have no other option but to postponed JFE Ultimate Pink Night to the NEXT SATURDAY, 9 December.

On top of this, weather experts are now predicting possible storms this afternoon despite an original forecast of a fine and dry day.

We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused by this decision.

Next Saturday night will feature the same program apart from Modified Sedans who are booked in at Carina Speedway. This means next Saturday night Sprintcars, Pro Sprintcars, Speedcars and Super Sedans will contest take two of JFE Ultimate Pink Night.

For competitors, all nominations will be held over, but drivers are urged to contact us if they can no longer participate next weekend. Drivers wishing to nominate for next weekend, can also do so by message Ryan Harris. Nominations for next weekend close on Monday 12pm.

For spectators, everyone that has pre-purchased tickets can keep their tickets for the new date and don’t have to do anything else. However, everyone will receive an email on Monday where they will be able to request a refund if they can no longer attend. (Refunds will then be processed in a couple of days after that).

Regarding the auction, the online auction closing time will now be extended to next Saturday night 8pm, meaning all current bids remain in place.

Once again, we are so sorry for having to postponed JFE Ultimate Pink Night and understand the inconvenience caused.

Thanks for everyone support and we hope to see everyone back next Saturday night for take two of JFE Ultimate Pink Night.

LET’S GO RACING

Despite the weather earlier this week; we are all systems go to push ahead as planned for JFE Ultimate Pink Night this Saturday at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway.

The forecast for the next few days has improved out of site. There is a westly breeze predicted on Saturday, which generally means we can expect a warm and dry day. It should be noted that there is still a chance of some slight shower activity during Friday night, but it is not expected to be too much, meaning we should be right to go ahead of this weekend.

Sprintcars, Pro Sprintcars, Speedcars, Modified Sedans and a massive Pink Night Fireworks show gets underway with early racing on track from 3:50pm which includes Super Sedans and Pro Sprintcars early in the afternoon. Sprintcars first hit the track at approx 6pm.

Help us continue the fight against Breast Cancer this weekend by raising much needed awareness and funds BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba Service via the wonderful people at the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.
