INTRODUCING | The Stockman’s House
Be among the very first to experience this newly opened authentic farm stay on a historic working cattle property, where the quiet rhythm of life on the land invites you to experience the kind of quiet you didn’t know you needed, where time slows, conversations linger and the stars feel impossibly bright.
📍 Somerset Region / Waka Waka Country
The Stockman’s House | Sleeps up to 5 | Entire Home
~ About 2 hours from Brisbane
Perched on a ridge overlooking rolling paddocks and a sandy creek below, the Stockman’s House once sheltered the hardworking stockmen who helped run this historic cattle property since 1906. Today it welcomes guests looking to unplug, breathe deeply and experience life on the land.
Wake slowly as birds call through the trees and morning light spills across the paddocks. Brew a coffee, settle into the verandah and watch the mist lift from the hills. Inside you’ll find cosy beds, a lived-in kitchen with all the essentials, air conditioning and a coffee machine but most guests spend their time outdoors, soaking in the abundance of space and stillness.

Your host, farmer Simone, may be out feeding stock or moving cattle through the paddocks. If you’re curious, you’re welcome to join in with the farm activities or simply watch from the fence with a cuppa.
As night falls, the world goes still. No traffic, no city lights, just the distant call of owls and curlews and a sky scattered with millions of stars.
A place rich with family history, open landscapes and the kind of quiet that stays with you long after you leave.
