Veteran New Zealand actor Sam Neill , best known for his iconic role as Dr. Alan Grant in theJurassic Parkfranchise, has died suddenly at the age of 78 in Sydney, Australia. His family confirmed that the beloved actor passed away on Monday, July 13 , describing his death as "sudden and unexpected."
