This morning I attempted to make “barista-style” coffee at home.

Attempted being the key word here. ☕️

What I actually produced was somewhere between burnt disappointment and a very poor life decision.

So I did what many sensible Australians do:
I got in the car, drove to my favourite café, and let a professional handle it.

And while waiting for my coffee, it hit me…

Travel is exactly the same.

Sure, technically you can book your own holiday online.

Just like I technically can make coffee.

But there’s a big difference between:
“It works” and “This is exceptional.”

A great barista understands:
• balance
• timing
• texture
• taste
• and how to adjust everything to suit the person in front of them

A great personal travel manager does the same thing.

Because personalised travel isn’t just about booking flights and hotels.
It’s about understanding:
• how you like to travel
• what drains your energy
• your pace
• your comfort levels
• your travel style
• and what kind of experience you actually want to come home with

The best travel advisors are not just planners.
They are exceptional listeners.
We notice the details Google or AI never will.

Like:
• you hate rushed connections
• you need breathing space between destinations
• you’d choose boutique over busy every time
• you don’t want to spend your holiday troubleshooting logistics
• and your idea of luxury is peace, ease and feeling looked after

Because honestly?

Life is too short for terrible coffee…
…and mediocre travel experiences.

If you’re thinking about Europe, Asia or a restorative wellness journey for 2026 and beyond, let’s create something far better than “good enough.”

DM me when you’re ready for travel designed around you. ✨

Ever noticed how “personalised” AI travel planning somehow gives everyone the exact same holiday?

Type:
“4 days in Paris. Boutique hotel. Great food.”

And suddenly you — along with 500,000 other travellers — are all:
🥐 eating the same croissant
📸 taking the same Eiffel Tower photo
🚢 doing the same Seine cruise
☕ paying €14 for the same hot chocolate
🏨 staying in the same “boutique hotel” with a bathroom approximately the size of a toaster

At this point, the algorithm is basically running a group tour.

And honestly? I love AI. I use it every day.

But most AI travel planning tools are not actually personalising your trip.

They are just very confidently summarising the internet.

There is a difference.

Because real travel personalisation is not:
“People who liked Paris also liked Barcelona.”

It is understanding:
✨ whether you want stimulation or stillness
✨ whether you hate rushed mornings
✨ whether your nervous system needs calm
✨ whether your idea of luxury is a rooftop champagne bar… or simply silence and uninterrupted sleep

Humans notice the details AI often misses.

Like:
• the “cute cobblestone street” becoming an accidental suitcase CrossFit session
• the “centrally located hotel” sitting directly above a nightclub called Electric Flamingo
• and the “easy 45-minute connection” at Heathrow being what I personally classify as an Olympic endurance event

The funniest part?

People spend 14 hours researching travel online to “save time.”

Meanwhile they end up with:
💻 37 browser tabs open
📋 a spreadsheet called FINAL_ITINERARY_v9_ACTUAL_FINAL
😵 decision fatigue
☕ and stress levels requiring immediate European pastries

Your best travel experiences should not be built around what is popular.

They should be built around YOU.

Your pace.
Your energy.
Your version of luxury.

Because not everyone wants to “do Paris or Barcelona or Rome.”

Some people simply want to feel like themselves again.

So ask yourself:
Are you looking for personalisation…
or just a generic itinerary wrapped in clever marketing?

If your next journey deserves more than a glorified Top 10 list, let’s talk. ✨

Did you know there’s a hidden travel tax nobody talks about?

You think DIY travel planning saves money…

But what is it costing your nervous system?

Because here’s what I see over and over again with high-performing women.

You spend all year managing:
• your business
• your team
• your family
• everyone else’s emergencies

So when it comes to your own holiday, your brain doesn’t magically switch off.

Instead, YOU become the contingency plan.

At 3am, your brain is suddenly asking:
• What if the transfer doesn’t show up?
• Did I book the right airport hotel?
• Is 55 minutes enough to connect in Doha?
• What happens if there’s a strike or cancellation?

By the time you leave home, you’re already exhausted.

Congratulations 😂
You’ve paid what I call the Logistics Tax.

And unlike VAT in Europe, this one gets charged directly to your energy.

Because the real value of working with a Personal Travel Manager is not just saving time or finding “a deal.”

It’s the Invisible Layer.

The hidden work happening behind the scenes so YOU don’t have to carry the mental load.

When I design a journey, I’m thinking about:
• flight timings that protect your sleep
• realistic connections and buffers
• pacing that allows you to breathe
• contingency plans before problems happen
• hotels that feel restorative, not chaotic

In other words:
I remove the friction before it reaches you.

And honestly?

Some of you are running spreadsheets worthy of NASA mission control for a 10-day trip to Italy 😂

Colour coding.
Backup train routes.
Emergency pharmacy lists.
PDF folders labelled “JUST IN CASE.”

At this point, you’re not planning a holiday.
You’re conducting an international military operation.

And I say that lovingly.

Because so many women have been conditioned to believe:
“If I don’t manage it, everything will fall apart.”

But holidays were never meant to feel like another project plan.

True luxury today is:
• peace of mind
• decision relief
• nervous system protection
• arriving emotionally available for the experience

You already spend all year holding everything together.

Do you really want to spend your holiday doing the same thing?

Or would you rather stop managing and start experiencing?

📩 If you’ve had enough of being the contingency plan, DM me to book one of my limited travel strategy sessions.

There is something deeply powerful in becoming the student of the very thing you help others create. ✨

For years, I have been the architect of the invisible layer.

The one managing the contingencies, timing, transitions and friction behind the scenes so my clients can simply arrive and exhale.

Protecting other people’s energy has become part of who I am.

But soon, I will be trading spreadsheets for stillness as I head to Spain to walk the Camino.

Not as a travel advisor.
Not as the planner.
Not as the problem-solver.

Simply as a human being putting one foot in front of the other.

This is not just a holiday.

It is a deliberate transition from managing experiences to fully experiencing the path itself.

A chance to process grief.
To decompress after an exceptionally demanding year.
To create space for clarity, perspective and healing through the simple rhythm of walking.

And perhaps that is the irony…

In my work, I remove friction for others every single day.

Yet on the Camino, I am intentionally stepping into physical friction to quiet the mental noise.

No constant notifications.
No endless logistics.
No decision overload.

Just well-worn boots, open landscapes, meaningful conversations and the silence that arrives when you finally stop managing everything around you. ✨

But this journey is also becoming the foundation for something bigger.

In May 2027, I plan to lead a small restorative Camino experience for women who feel the same call to slow down, reflect and reconnect with themselves through meaningful travel.

A journey designed not around ticking boxes, but around creating space to think, breathe and heal.

Maximum 12 women only.

If this resonates with you, please DM me to register your expression of interest. 🤍

Not escaping life.
Reconnecting with it.

Are you waiting for a wake-up call before you embrace restorative travel?

Yesterday, my GP told me in no uncertain terms that I need to address my cortisol overload and stress levels if I want to improve my sleep, weight, and overall health.

Honestly? I probably already knew.
But seeing the evidence in black and white through my blood test results made it very real.

After decades in the travel industry, surviving COVID, years of uncertainty, ongoing client crises, losing both of my parents in 2025, and now more airline and global instability, my nervous system has clearly been operating in survival mode for far too long.

And I know many people are feeling exactly the same.

As we move towards EOFY, so many professionals are exhausted beyond what a weekend off can fix.

Women in leadership.
Business owners.
Caregivers.
High achievers.

People surviving on caffeine, cortisol and constant pressure while promising themselves they will slow down “later.”

But later rarely comes.

Eventually the body sends the invoice:
• Insomnia
• Brain fog
• Weight gain
• Anxiety
• Constant fatigue

This is why I believe wellbeing travel in 2026 has evolved far beyond spa menus and infinity pools.

It is now about nervous system regulation.

The real magic happens in what I call the “Invisible Layer” of travel:
✨ The quiet hotel room that truly feels restful
✨ Slower itineraries with breathing room
✨ Seamless transitions that reduce stress
✨ Environments that calm instead of overstimulate
✨ Removing constant decision fatigue

Increasingly, I see travel becoming less about escape and more about recovery.

Not recovery from travel itself.
Recovery from life.

This is why I design journeys differently — focusing not only on where my clients go, but how they want to feel when they return home:

Clearer.
Calmer.
Rested.
Able to hear themselves think again.

Because luxury today is not excess.
Luxury is nervous system safety.

If your last “relaxing” holiday left you feeling like you needed another week to recover, perhaps it is time to rethink the approach.

📩 If restorative, intentionally designed travel is something you need right now, send me a message or book a travel strategy session via the link in my profile.

How do you turn a 24-hour stopover into the highlight of a three-week journey?

Most people see a stopover as a logistics gap.
Something to "get through" before the real holiday begins.

For a family of five I recently looked after, we decided to do things differently.

They were on their way to Europe, but the magic started in the Dubai dunes. 🐪✨

Picture this:
The heat of the day fading into a soft, golden glow.
The endless ripple of sand under a setting sun.
And a very surprised 10-year-old realizing their birthday wasn’t just "lost" in transit.

I organized a private Sunset Dune Safari with a special birthday surprise tucked into the dunes.
A celebration surrounded by the peace of the desert silence. 🎂

While the family focused on the moment, I had already handled the timing, the vetting, and the tiny details that make a surprise work thousands of miles from home.

They stopped managing. They started experiencing.

Even a stopover can be a restorative chapter when it’s planned with heart.

What’s the most unexpected place you’ve ever celebrated a milestone? 💬

Are you booking flights… or unknowingly playing a game?

Right now, most travellers are navigating a system that’s constantly changing and it’s exhausting.

Airfares don’t sit still anymore.
That Premium Economy or Business Class fare you saw earlier? It may already be gone… or no longer include what you expect.

Things like:
✈️ Lounge access
✈️ Seat selection
✈️ Flexibility

Airlines are quietly restructuring fares, and what looks like value isn’t always the full picture.

This is the part of travel most people don’t see, the part that drains your energy before your journey even begins.

This is where I step in.

I work behind the scenes to:
✔️ Read the fine print
✔️ Monitor availability
✔️ Remove the guesswork

So you can focus on the experience, not the logistics.

If Europe or Asia is on your radar for 2026 or 2027, now might be a good time to plan with clarity.

Send me a message with “STRATEGY” and let’s start designing your journey properly.

Have you ever come back from a holiday feeling… like you need another one?

Not because the destination wasn’t beautiful :
but because the journey itself felt rushed, fragmented, or just a little harder than expected.

Here’s the truth most people don’t talk about:

Booking your own travel is easy.
But getting the flow right is something else entirely.

It’s the details you don’t see:

• The room location
• The timing between flights and transfers
• The pace of your itinerary

And these small things? They add up : especially when you’re already busy, time-poor, and in need of a proper break.

This is where I work differently.

I design travel around how you want to feel when you return :
rested, clear-headed, and genuinely recharged.

Because when the logistics are seamless, you don’t just travel…

You exhale.

💬 If you’re starting to think about your next trip, I’m always here for a conversation.

Why do we keep the most restorative secrets to ourselves?

For so many of my clients, travel is not just a holiday.
It’s a pause… a chance to reset, recalibrate, and return with renewed energy.

And yet, the journeys that truly shift us, the ones that help us breathe more deeply and feel like ourselves again, are often the ones we don’t talk about enough.

Over the years, one of the greatest compliments I’ve received hasn’t been a booking.
It’s been your trust.

Your recommendations.
Your quiet “you should speak to Kerstin” moments shared with friends and colleagues.

And I want you to know, I never take that lightly.

So, I’ve been working on something behind the scenes…
A thoughtful way to say thank you to those who share the gift of well-designed, restorative travel with others.

Something special is coming for our travel community ✨

Keep an eye on your inbox, I think you’ll love what’s ahead.

I’d love to hear from you:
What’s one travel experience you’ve recommended to someone that truly changed their perspective?

The world moves fast.
Your nervous system shouldn’t have to.

Introducing: The 5-Night Lagoon Exhale

New Caledonia is a true paradise — closer than you think.

Just 2 hours from Brisbane and around 3 hours from Sydney, yet it feels worlds away.
A rare blend of South Pacific beauty with a refined French influence.

Imagine waking up in Nouméa, where the air is soft and the pace is rhythmic…
Then drifting further into the quiet of the Isle of Pines.

No noise.
No schedules.
Just space to simply be.

This is what restoration can feel like.

✨ A UNESCO-listed lagoon — vast, calm, and crystal clear
✨ Natural swimming pools in Oro Bay
✨ Long, unhurried lunches with a French Pacific flavour
✨ Space and stillness your body has been craving

I design these journeys to remove the invisible friction — so you don’t have to think, plan, or manage anything while you’re away.

When the logistics are invisible, the restoration is deep.

If you’re ready for a reset without long-haul travel, let’s create it together.

Send me a message or book a private consultation to design your tailored New Caledonia escape.
