History is made! Today SBAC marked a significant milestone for accessible tourism in Australia, launching the world’s first accessible bridge climb from HSW, which will soon be open to the public! Guests with accessibility requirements will soon be able to enjoy the thrill of scaling Brisbane’s iconic landmark in a high-tech motorised stair climber wheelchair, ensuring a safe, smooth, and thrilling experience.

SBAC’s commitment to accessibility ensures an unforgettable adventure, perfectly timed for the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games!

We were thrilled to welcome trailblazing Paralympic swimmer Rachael Watson up onto the bridge! Winning gold at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, Rachael set Paralympic records in the 50m freestyle S4. At Paris 2024, she earned two bronzes, making history again. Rachael inspires through resilience, excellence, and determination.
