Wishart parkrun Wishart parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event every Saturday at 7am. Walkers and runners welcome! You never know, you could make friends for life!

Wishart parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am in Wishart, QLD, Australia 14km SE of Brisbane's CBD. Wishart parkrun is FREE and open to people of all abilities and ages, both as volunteers and as walkers, joggers and runners. Please register at parkrun.com.au and bring your printed barcode along.

We encourage anyone in our community to take part, from those taking their first steps in walking or running, through to Olympians, from juniors 5 years or older to those with decades of experience. Younger participants are also welcome, and it’s common to see families with prams enjoying Wishart parkrun. It’s not possible to come ‘last’ or be left behind at parkrun! All participants receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in volunteering at their local parkrun event at least 3 times per year. What a great to celebrate Queensland day!!

296 parkrunners joined in the fun for this morning's chilly parkrun. We had 31 people who acheived a PB and 39 first timers who came along.

Congratualtions to Monique who celebrated her 400th parkrun today!!!
Keith celebrate his 200th parkrun!! And Ashley celebrated her 50th!!

Thank you to our 15 volunteers!!! We are in need of a barcode scanner for next week so please let us know if you are able to help out.

🌂 UMBRELLA GIVEAWAY! 🌂

A huge thank you to Wishart parkrunner Jennifer Hunt for generously donating 4 parkrun umbrellas to give away! To be in the running, simply attend Wishart parkrun every Saturday in a given month — with at least one of those visits as a volunteer — and you’ll go into the draw as our parkrunner of the month! We’re running this giveaway from June through September, with each month’s winner drawn on the first weekend of the following month. So get those volunteer slots booked and we’ll see you out there every week!

Dust off your best maroon running gear and join us at Wishart parkrun this Saturday as we celebrate Queensland spirit on the course.

With a forecast low of 9°C and fine conditions expected, it could be the perfect morning to chase a personal best, enjoy a steady run with friends, or simply get your weekend off to a great start.

Event schedule

* First Timers Briefing: 6:50am
* Run Briefing: 6:55am
* Start: 7:00am sharp

This week’s volunteer roster is full, but we do have a number of volunteer opportunities available over the coming weeks. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the parkrun community, meet new people, and experience the event from a different perspective. If you’d like to help out, please consider adding your name to a future roster.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday morning. Go Queensland!

Wishart Parkrun 30th May # 577

Yep – the 7am Wishart parkrun dance completed with 338 out on the course in beautiful sunshine. Brand new parkrun attendees – 8 – were welcomed today. The PB bell rang out many times & well deserved for those achieving a PB today. The weather is perfect for a run and walk in the park at this time of year…or anytime

First in was Shane in 16:57 and Adrian 2nd 18:59. Elysia was first female in 22:08. Well done everyone !

Always thankful to those wonderful Wishart volunteers who made today possible -
Liz, Chris, Pat, Ye Yun, Lynette, Karen, Julie, Barbara, Laurel & bringing up the tail – Dom, Paul & Jeff !!

Congratulations to May on achieving her 100th parkrun today !!
