The Dodge getting ready to leave our nest - forever!

IDEAL WEDDING HIRE CAR - Offered due to our full retirement from the limousine industry.

Our 1936 Dodge D2 Seven Passenger Sedan (Six wheel-equipped TJR-body).
Believed to be the last surviving 1936 7 passenger car, of a very limited number imported.
Has been a wedding/formal car since 1994, and owned by us since 1997.
Upgrades by us include:
Holden 202-based motor, with Yella Terra alloy 12 port head, YT Roller Rockers, lightened flywheel, 140A alternator, 16 inch thermo fan and mated to a Toyota steel case gearbox, feeding the standard diff, with uprated tailshaft and axles.
All tyres are whitewall Coker Classic radials, and the suspension has been upgraded to telescopic gas shocks all around. Steering box reconditioned, so it tracks and steers beautifully. And it stops really well with power brakes.
Interior upgrades include additional sound/heat insulation, air conditioning, and period crank-operated electric windows.
Burgundy cloth seating, with grey carpets throughout.
Mega dollars and hours spent by me on this car has made it a great cruiser suitable for rallies, and longer distance touring or hire work, while still appearing period-standard from the outside.
NEW REDUCED PRICE is $40,000 (including GST), which represents a very substantial discount on our investment.

SOLD!!
One last run in my favourite Jaguar - the black Mark VIIM.
Going as beautifully as ever, and always great to drive.
The new owner collected it Thursday morning, and drove it uneventfully to its new Gold Coast home.

We’re currently settling into our retirement, mixed with doing some upgrades on our retired fleet of cars.

Well, after a false start at retirement in mid-2020, this is definitely it, with Jess and Omar’s wedding at their own Booval House, on Saturday 27/11 being our final wedding.
In a nice and unexpected touch, their celebrant, Renee Wilkins, (pictured here with them) was one of our brides some years back.
We’ll take that connection as a sign that closure has been formally achieved, after our 35 busy years transporting lots of happy people to many varied events an destinations.
All the best to all happy couples planning their weddings.

When people see a classic Jaguar, you can bet that everyone just loves to try to get on board for a ride.
Alessy and Alex stopped for photos at New Farm Park en route to their school formal, and were quickly ambushed by their school friends.
And yes - two then became four for the rest of the journey.
