Notre Dame College, Bells Creek, Queensland 📍

KOMPAN worked with Notre Dame College from concept to completion on this colourful new playground for their students, designing, manufacturing, and supplying a range of high-quality play equipment.

The goal? A space that students of all ages and abilities can enjoy. This meant adding inclusive play panels for sensory stimulation, giving children who feel overstimulated or stressed a way to calm down, alongside adrenaline-filled favourites like the Coco Pendulum Swing for the thrill-seekers. We also designed the playground to embrace the surrounding environment, transforming the natural uneven landscape into an exciting double-slide feature.

Today we proudly presented on the design and construction of Lincoln Square Playground, one of Melbourne’s most beloved play spaces. Thank you to Yazid Ninsalam, Nikolaus Schwabe, and the RMIT Landscape Architecture first year cohort for having us.

Mark Chatman detailed the technical challenges of the site that we had to overcome, and how KOMPAN Australia worked with council, designers, and stakeholders to create an inclusive play area that treads lightly on the existing landscape.

Conversation flowed, and many great questions were asked 💬It was a great session highlighting how Landscape Architects can collaborate with suppliers in the early stages to utilise their expertise, streamline projects, and create beautiful, fit-for-purpose spaces.
