Moreton (Mulgumpin) Island is one of the last strongholds for dugongs in the world.
The warm, shallow waters and rich seagrass meadows make it the perfect buffet.
(And sometimes, if you’re lucky, he pops up to say hello.)

Fun fact: Dugongs are one of the only strictly herbivorous marine mammals in the world and they’ve been known to eat up to 40kg of seagrass a day.
