My happy place - sunrise 🌅

When I went to bed last night, I was absolutely shattered after a mammoth day of juggling many balls.

I’m about to kick off three days and 30hrs of incredible learning, and business and personal development.

I was worried I’d not be firing on all cylinders today, but true to form, I was awake with the birds (before 5am 😩), made a coffee and headed out the door. By the time my bare feet hit the sand and the ocean, and the rising sun was blinding my eyes - boom💥…energy refresh!!!

C’mon universe…bring it on!!

Are you home schooling during lockdown?!

Hard to believe this time last year, I was en route home from a couple of months in Europe & stopping off to see family in Hong Kong...the hustle & bustle synonymous with this metropolitan city is a very distant memory. Hopefully not for too much longer though...wishing everyone safe travels in 2021, wherever in this wild world they may take you 🙏✈️🌎

Where’s Brigid....she’s out in the wild world feeling the embrace of the full moon and letting 2020 ease away like a falling tide...so much to be grateful for this year...so many opportunities presented while my life hit pause...so excited to slide into 2021 and see what box of tricks the universe presents me with!

Miami Marketta have just opened Mona Lisa’s lair...it’s a little bit d’Orsay, l’orangerie and Lautrec all thrown in together with a decent splash of French Fizz & local fair....for that something a little bit je ne sais quoi...check this out!!!

Just over a year ago I was traveling in East Africa. On our way from Entebbe to Kibali National Park, we stopped at this incredible roadside market. The pride & the precision with which the produce was displayed & the happy energy everyone had was contagious! It has always stuck with me, that to arrange these displays, every morning, would take so much time & effort, but when you’re doing something you love & that makes you proud, then it’s not an effort, but a joy!

Traveling & sharing my passion for this world, it’s peoples & it’s wildlife is what gives me joy & I cannot wait to return to Africa & take some of you with me....
....who wants to come??!!

Being able to fly directly, from the Gold Coast to Canberra, makes a long weekend away in our capital city such an easy choice. Beautiful Weston Park is always one of my favorite ‘must visits’ and today was no exception. The beautiful wild flowers & vibrant leafy trees are something we don’t get on the sandy dunes of home!! With walks ranging from half an hour to 7hrs, there’s something here for everyone. A leisurely 90mins stroll was fine for me today 😊 I have to say I’m also loving daylight savings and the warm sunny evenings.

I have never taken flying and travel for granted - ever. And today marks the first flight since I hurried home from India mid March. This also marks the longest between flights in well over 30yrs.
I have been so blessed and so privileged to have seen parts of the world that many will only ever dream of, but today, I’m just as bloody excited to be heading to Canberra to see my big brother & sis-in-law, as I have been to fly to the ends of the earth.
I could go on about reality checks, being more grounded (literally), gaining perspective and all that stuff, but what my ‘down time’ over the last few months has taught me is that the simple things, the small steps, the deep breaths, and making clear distinct plans to pursue my dreams and passions are all just as important as the fast paced life I knew previously. Perhaps even more important.
I’m not saying that making these changes & following your passion isn’t confronting...god knows I’ve spent many a time rocking quietly, back and forth, in the corner asking WTF am I doing with my life. Thankfully those days are now few and far between & I’m truly excited as the next chapter in my wild and crazy life, in this wild and crazy world, is about to come together😃!! Huge thanks to and for keeping me accountable & being the best support ever!! Watch this space.....

It’s a bit like scuba diving (my other passion) & focussing on the macro (which is really the micro 🤪) and watching the world come alive in a 1m square grid! 🙏

Sweet dreams are made of this...who am I to disagree? I’ve traveled the world & the seven seas...but for a weekend away - right now - this is where I’m heading!
