This shower is known for its fireballs and can produce up to 100 meteors per hour, with meteor activity happening until the end of August.

This year’s visit coincides with a new moon and a beautiful dark sky in Broome. Best viewing between midnight and dawn on the north/north eastern horizon.

Lagoon Nebula 💥

Found in the constellation of Sagittarius approx. 5,200 light years away. This nebula emits gases which absorb light from its stars and then re-emit this light to provide the nebula with its reddish colour.

Currently in our telescopes in the eastern sky.
