Cable Beach is 22kms of pristine white sand and clear tropical waters. the perfect plact to watch the spectacular sunset over the Indian Ocean. Chinatown has been the multicultural heart and soul of Broome since the pearling crews set up their first camps and corrugated tin sheds in the 1880s. Today Broome has developed into an iconic Western Australian tourism destination and Chinatown is its heart and soul. This boutique retail hub and a site of historical significance is a unique and special place worth visiting! Located on the south east edge of Broome is Town Beach. The Town Beach precinct is the spot to be for ‘Staircase to the Moon’ and the Thursday evening markets. Chinatown to Town Beach forms part of the ‘Jetty to Jetty’ walking trail. The Town Beach Foreshore Redevelopment was completed in mid 2020. We look forward to welcoming visitors to Broome to come and enjoy this amazing new foreshore, playground and waterpark at Town Beach. Whether your first trip to Broome or you are a seasoned visitor, give the staff at the Broome Visitor Centre a call. We're incredibly proud to announce that Sanbashi Izakaya at Wharf Restaurant has taken home the️ ✨️Gold Plate Award ✨ ️for Best Tapas in Western Australia for the second consecutive year! 🥂✨

To be recognised amongst some of the best restaurants across the state is a huge honour, and to receive this recognition two years running makes it even more special!

Our Sanbashi Izakaya menu brings a little taste of Japan to the Wharf, and we're thrilled to see this unique dining experience recognised once again.

This achievement is a reflection of the hard work, creativity and dedication of our incredible team, both in the kitchen and on the floor. We're so grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey, past and present.

PLANNED POWER & WATER OUTAGE 🚧 Tues 20 Oct 2026 at Walmanyjun Cable Beach

Essential power and water infrastructure works are scheduled to take place at the Walmanyjun Cable Beach precinct tomorrow, Tuesday 20 October, between 10am and 6pm.

These works are essential upgrades to existing infrastructure and will require temporary service outages, affecting nearby venues.

Here's what you need to know:
- Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa: Power off only. Operating as usual for inhouse guests using backup power supply.
- Cable Beach House: Power off only. Restaurant closed for the entire day BUT the CBH kiosk will still be open 6am-9am for your morning coffee fix!
- Broome Surf Life Saving Club: Power and water off. Closed for the entire day.

Public toilets: The Surf Club toilets will be closed from 8am. Temporary toilets will be available beside the basketball courts from 8am.

If you're planning to visit the precinct or any of these venues, please consider the above information and contact venues directly for further information about their operations and opening hours on this day.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank the venues and community for its patience and understanding as these essential upgrades are completed.
