Is your workplace committed to Aboriginal Cultural Awareness?
At Mabu Buru Tours, we are dedicated to reconciliation through education, understanding and meaningful connection.
We believe reconciliation starts with people taking the time to listen, learn and better understand Aboriginal culture, history, country, community and the ongoing impacts that continue to shape the lives of Aboriginal people today.
Our Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Training is a half-day program designed to support workplaces, organisations and teams to build stronger cultural understanding in a respectful, practical and locally grounded way.
The session is delivered by Johani Mamid, Founder and Managing Director of Mabu Buru Tours. Johani is a Yawuru, Karajarri, Nyul Nyul and Bardi man with many years of experience working in cultural education, land and sea management, tourism, community leadership and Aboriginal governance.
Johani brings both lived experience and professional experience to the training, sharing cultural perspectives in a way that is honest, practical and relevant to todayβs workplaces. His approach helps participants better understand the importance of country, cultural identity, history, protocols, cultural safety and respectful engagement with Aboriginal people and communities.
This program is not about ticking a box. It is about helping people build confidence, awareness and respect so they can engage more meaningfully with Aboriginal culture, Aboriginal people and the wider community.
If your workplace is ready to take a positive step toward reconciliation, we would love to work with you.
