Yee Gee 👋
Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tours was born from a deep desire from our now passed Elders to share our stories, our truth, and our Country in a way that honoured them and the way we learn—through connection.
The journey began with Bec, who carried stories passed down from her Grandmother, a true Matriarch of the Taribelang Bunda. These stories were written down, not to contain them, but to honour and preserve them. They were the starting point. From there, we gathered our Elders, not around a table, but in a bus—on Country.
We knew that a formal, sit-down interview wouldn’t work. Our knowledge doesn’t live on paper—it lives in the land, in the rivers, in the trees, and in us. So we went for many, many drives, following the path that would later become our tour route. Being on Country together opened the door to natural, flowing conversation—where the memories came freely and the stories came alive. The Elders spoke of places their old people walked, events that shaped our mob, and the knowledge that’s been carried for generations.
It was in those moments—laughing, remembering, sometimes crying, always connecting—that the true spirit of Taribelang Bunda Cultural Tours was shaped. It’s not just a tour. It’s a living story. A shared experience. A journey on Country, guided by the voices of our people and the footsteps of our Ancestors.
