Jordan and Steve enjoyed an absolute cracker of a session on Lake Monduran, with both anglers landing their first-ever Barramundi, and to top it off, both joining the Meter+ Club! 🎣🔥

The Fa**ss Flies were doing the damage once again, paired up with the Samurai Fishing Rods Elevate 10–20lb, making a deadly combination for chasing these big impoundment Barra.

Two first Barra. Two metre-plus fish. Doesn’t get much better than that! 💪🐟

No stranger to Lake Monduran, Mark was struggling after a few trips without a fish. So he reached out and jumped on a charter to fine-tune a few techniques, work on the finer points and, most importantly, build some confidence.

Safe to say the session delivered! 🎣

Both Mark and Locky not only put a few quality Barra in the boat, but picked up more knowledge than they could remember, from reading the fish, positioning the boat and making the most of every opportunity.

The best part? They put it straight into practice.

Heading back out on their own boat the very next day, they managed to land a couple more fish using what they had learnt on the charter. That’s what it’s all about! 💪🔥

It’s not just about catching fish on the day, it’s about giving anglers the confidence and knowledge to go out and catch them themselves.

Mick and Graham jumped on board while enjoying their stay at Lake Monduran, and it didn’t take long for the action to heat up! 🎣

There were a few missed opportunities along the way, but both boys kept swinging and eventually got the rewards they were chasing a meter-plus Barra each! 💥

Two quality fish, plenty of excitement and a session they won’t forget anytime soon. That’s what Lake Monduran is all about! 👊

Took my nephew up to the dam with one goal in mind — to get him a metre Barra, and he absolutely smashed the challenge out of the park! 🎣

He kicked things off with a cracking 110cm Barra, then backed it up on the very next cast with another solid 108cm! 🔥

Safe to say, I reckon he’ll be begging for plenty more trips to the dam after that effort! 😎

It just goes to show that age is no barrier when it comes to chasing Barramundi! 🎣

In his late 70s, Ken managed to land himself a cracking Lake Monduran Barra during an early morning session on the dam, utilising Garmin Marine LiveScope to track down the fish and watch it happen.

A fantastic fish and an even better effort from Ken! 👏🔥

What a way to tick off your first ever barramundi!

Todd and Jo joined me for an afternoon session with one clear goal, to help Jo land her first-ever Barra. It didn’t take long before this solid 105cm fish switched on to the Fa**ss Flies followed it all the way to the boat, and inhaled it right at the rod tip, making for an unforgettable capture.

Jo wasn’t finished there, backing it up later with another Barra and also losing one more fish along the way.

Not to be outdone, Todd stole a little of the spotlight, landing two impressive Barra over the magic metre mark to cap off an enjoyable afternoon on the water.

Congratulations to both of you, it was a pleasure sharing the experience!

What a way to celebrate turning 14! 🎉🎣

Gary Bezzina gave his son, Rocco, a birthday he’ll never forget with a day chasing barramundi on Lake Monduran.

Having never landed a Barra before, it didn’t take Rocco long to tick that milestone off the list, boating his very first fish before going on to upgrade his personal best not once, but twice. The highlight of the day was an absolute beast, a fat 110cm Barra that had everyone grinning from ear to ear!

Well and truly outdone however, Gary also managed to sneak a couple of quality Barra into the boat, capping off an incredible family day on the water.

There’s no better way to celebrate a birthday than making memories like these. Happy 14th Birthday, Rocco! Thanks for choosing Flick It Fishing Charters to be part of your special day. We can’t wait to see what your next PB looks like!

A quick run up to the dam yesterday with Andrew Koeppen after he finished helping me out with a bit of work. It was great to spend an afternoon on the water together, with the fish certainly playing the game. We managed to land 7 from 8 hookups and plenty of followers, making for a cracking afternoon session and a great way to finish the day.
