“Lochanbar is a great choice for families, as it’s conveniently located near the walking trails and the local cafe and shop. It’s in a beautiful setting with wildlife sightings from the verandah. There’s lots of thoughtful amenities like board games and children's toys, DVDs and books. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked. We really appreciated the notes and signage around the house; so often you spend ages trying to figure things out, but the owners have carefully and clearly labelled things and explained where and how things work. Looking for a cooler way to do your summer shopping? ☀️➡️🌿 Head to the Bunya Mountains Markets on Sunday 25th January from 9.00am–2.00pm. Set under towering bunya pines, it’s the perfect mix of local markets, nature, and refreshingly cool mountain air.

Take your time wandering the stalls, enjoy the scenic rainforest surrounds, and soak up the relaxed mountain atmosphere. It’s the ideal way to escape the heat and spend a summer Sunday in one of Queensland’s most beautiful natural settings.
