Beautiful Mauritius 🌸 - it’s been a while since I’ve been on this beautiful island, and it certainly still has the wow factor.
With direct flights from Perth (no transit), and onwards to Johannesburg, this really should be on your itinerary.
Time to reconsider Asian destinations and explore this stunning sub tropical African island - if not only for the stunning beaches, but also the food, the people, the fishing, snorkeling and rum!

Art lovers, mark your calendars! The Margaret River Region Open Studios is back from 12 – 27 September 2026, offering a rare, behind-the-scenes look into the creative spaces of 155 artists across our beautiful region.

It’s a completely free annual event (though keeping a few gold coins handy for the charity donation tin at select studios is highly encouraged!). At Forage Safaris, we’re offering exclusive Private Driver options to help you experience the Open Studios your way.

Have a list of artists you’re dying to see? Hand it over and we’ll map out the perfect day. Need inspiration? We’ll curate a bespoke itinerary that pairs incredible local art with the region's best "dirt-to-dish" culinary stops. 🍷 Weave it into your day: Already planning a private cellar door tour with us? Let us know in advance and we can seamlessly blend a few handpicked studio stops into your schedule.

Enjoy the freedom to chat with artists, take in the spring landscapes, and maybe even pick up a unique piece of original Western Australian art, all without worrying about the roads.

Coming to a bottle near you!

2026 was another excellent vintage in Margaret River.

"Warm days, cool nights and an extended ripening period allowed fruit to develop excellent flavour, natural balance and strong varietal definition resulting in both white and red varieties performing strongly. Whites will shine in the glass – Chardonnay has been exceptional, showcasing true elegance and poise. The reds, and in particular Cabernet Sauvignon, are revealing great structure and ageing potential."
