This year in 2022 we are celebrating 20 years of certification with Ecotourism Australia. We have become the first Tasmanian tour operator to be welcomed into their Hall of Fame, representing 20 years of achievements in sustainable tourism. Our Advanced Eco-accreditation level is recognised internationally by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council - GSTC.

Normally Under Down Under quietly goes about our business of showcasing Tasmania through our small group nature-based tours, without making a fuss about our achievements, but this one should be celebrated.

This post is in recognition of all the efforts of past and present Under Down Under staff - our guides, operations and reservation staff, and our suppliers who are doing their part around Tasmania. We thank you - each of you are instrumental to maintaining our commitment to operating responsibly in our wild places and in the communities that we visit around the island.

Thanks also to our many guests over the years - it is a wonderful thing to be able to help visitors experience Tasmania’s National Parks, rural and urban areas as well as special cultural attractions. Your enthusiasm keeps us going. We love what we do, and we look forward to many more years to come with responsible travel continuing to be our core focus.
