Meet Sammy > The RatPack Story

I’ve been bounding around Australia & NZ since 2011 {time flies when ya cruising}, my more than extensive Roadie around Australia covered over 25,913 Km. I road tripped the full loop from Byron to Sydney {the opposite way around - you’ll know what i mean when you check out the map below} and also winged it in New Zealand for 2 years cruising around both the North and South islands with my Bruv-Ski {Jakey AKA the Camper King}...

From breaking my back picking zucchinis {93 days on a farm - you’ll know what I mean when you do it} to dropping numerous plates as a waiter and ‘blagging’ my way into construction jobs, I found myself a dream job working in travel. It was finally a chance to give people all of the knowledge that I had discovered along the way.

At first I was lovin’ life offering tours & transport to backpackers that were needing help. However I soon realised that the after service support that the customers received & product quality didn’t quite match my personal customer service.

My experience of working for a corporate company began to stop my love for travel, no morals no ethics & poor customer service - my original idea was to set up a backpacker website designed to give first time travellers the tips and tricks that nobody else wanted to share about the industry.
