Forget everything you think theatre is.

For a limited season this winter, the will transform into a living stage as ‘s award-winning Love For One Night returns to the Northern Rivers from 27 August until 12 September.

Set throughout the pub’s bar, beer garden and upstairs rooms, the production combines world-class theatre, live music, movement and live camera projections, while audiences watch from a purpose-built seating bank in the carpark.

Created by NORPA Artistic Director Julian Louis, the show follows a collection of interconnected love stories inspired by life in the Northern Rivers. Funny, moving and deeply familiar, the characters and stories are drawn from the fabric of the region itself.

The original 2022 season sold out, built extensive waitlists and went on to win the 2023 PAC Australia IMPACT Award.

It’s not often that a village of just a few hundred people becomes home to one of the region’s most celebrated cultural experiences - don’t miss this one.

Your sign to finally book the fancy dinner.

We went to in Brunswick Heads for their tasting menu and honestly… one of the best date nights we’ve had in a while.

Beautiful moody little space, incredible service, creative seasonal dishes paired with the perfect wines plus next level cocktails.

Definitely one to save for anniversaries, birthdays or just when you want to romanticise your life a bit.

One of the Northern Rivers’ most iconic annual events is back, but organisers say its future is at risk.

Old & Gold returns to Brunswick Heads on Saturday June 6, transforming the entire town into one giant treasure hunt of garage sales, vintage fairs, live entertainment and gloriously chaotic bargain hunting. If you’ve never been, think town-wide garage sale meets vintage market meets classic quirky Northern Rivers day out.

But behind the nostalgia, the not-for-profit which runs the beloved event, says rising costs, fewer business sponsors, rising rents and the impact of paid parking have put both the festival and the centre’s long-term future under pressure.

Organisers say some local businesses saw sales drop by as much as 50% after paid parking was introduced, while the loss of major regional festivals has added even more pressure to the local economy.

The good news? In what honestly feels like a miracle after the month we’ve had, sunshine and a top of 20 are currently forecast.

If you love a good rummage, vintage treasure hunting, people watching or just iconic Northern Rivers chaos, this is your sign. Show up, support it, register a garage sale, buy a raffle ticket, and help keep one of Bruns’ most loved traditions alive.
