バイロンベイ初のコミュニティによるコミュニティのための森を創ろう！というプロジェクトで木を寄付して植林に参加してきたよ。森の入口には寄付した人の名前が刻まれた看板が掲げられるんだって。森の成長が楽しみ。🌳🌳💓 Fun day at planting trees with for Byron’s First community forest 🌿✌🏽 Donated 3 trees and planted 20 trees 💪One simple thing we can all do for the Earth and our future generations 💕

去年の日本への帰省トリップの様子、英語の ブログにまとめ始めました。外国を旅することが今は難しい状況だけど、いつか、日本の美しさ、素晴らしをプロモートするようなツアーをオーガナイズできることを夢見て、それまで写真を見て思い出に浸ってます。This time last year, when we could still travel overseas, and I were getting excited about our Japan trip. I hadn't been home for 4 years since I left in 2015 so it was about time and for Damo to join me made it so special .His father was a foreign correspondent for ABC and had lived in Japan in the 1960s so Damo grew up listening to all the story tales from Japan and it has been his dream to go to Japan one day. So I planned a trip, to be a mix of family & friend catch ups , adventures, nature time, cultural experiences and all the other fun wacky stuff that Japan has to offer! 😆

Looking back at the photos now, I feel a strong passion and wish to organize something like this again- to people who are intrigued by the Japanese culture, food , art or everything ,anything about Japan ( you know who you are ❤️) . With the current COVID travel restrictions , I don't know when or even that will be possible again, but in the meantime, I thought I ‘d put together a series of stories from our trip. From the coastal surf town of Chiba to hidden valley of Kochi , we traveled indulging in the Japanese way of living, the food, the breathtaking sceneries and tdatironal rituals. 森の中のキャラバンからお引越し！タイニーハウスでの暮らしぶりはプロフィールのブログからどうぞ。Moving with the whole fam 🏡🐨🦢🦩🐾😆 It was 2011 when I first came to Byron Bay and stayed at this magical forest tucked behind the ocean. I felt a strong connection then and made the conscious transition to move to Byron. Fast forward 2018, I met and he happened to live in this piece of paradise🌲🌲✨. Soon after I I moved in and we lived harmoniously in such a tiny space. Its really funny but I never felt small or tight . It felt just right for us . We had the whole outdoor nature at our doorstep ( literally) and lived amongst it . I learnt to live simply , humbly, in calmness and peacefulness. It taught me to be resourceful, creative and to always enjoy the simple beauty life has to offer. It grounded me deeply and enriched my soul in a way that I had been searching all my life . There were moments when I felt alone especially when was away but the loneliness was soon swept away by the chirping of little friends , warm sun and the sound of the ocean breeze . We will miss this cute home like crazy but excited what the new chapter ( and proper house!! 😆don’t worry we’re just moving few minutes down the road! ) of our life will offer us . And thanks to my man as always for sharing the adventurous life with me 🙏💕2011年初めて訪れたバイロンベイでステイしたこの森。その時、いつか絶対ここに戻ってくる、と強く感じたのを覚えてる。そして導かれるように、2018年、彼と出会い、偶然にも同じ森に佇む小さなキャラバンに同棲するように。とっても狭いけど、とっても居心地のよかった小さな住まいともお別れの日がきてしまった。足るを知る、森の中のキャラバン暮らしは不自由で不便なこともあったけど、自然に囲まれての暮らしは心が安らぎ、豊かさはグッと増えた。引っ越し先はほんの数分先のちょっと広めのちゃんとしたおうち(笑)で自然もいっぱい。新しい暮しをまた作っていくのも楽しみです。🏡🌈😊

段階的に処置が取られていましたが、本日4月1日より、主要なビーチの駐車場はほぼ閉鎖となりました。サーフィンしたり泳いだり、運動することはまだできますが、隣の人とは1.5mの間隔をあけ、2人以上(家族以外)で連むことは法令で禁止されています。違反した場合、その場で1000ドルの罰金。間近に迫ったイースターホリデーでは数10万人の観光客が押し寄せるバイロンベイですが、そうした動きを規制するためでもあります。町も営業しているお店はわずか、しばらくは静かな日々が続きそうですが、まずは健康でいられることに感謝です。

Byron Shire Council and the National Parks and Wildlife Service will tomorrow (1 April 2020) start closing more public carparks in an attempt to stop groups of people congregating and to meet social distancing directives.

バイロンベイに滞在されていたワーホリの方も、たくさんいて、あわてて帰国されています。ゴールドコーストから成田への便はもう飛んでおらず、今夜０時からゴールドコースト空港のあるクイーンズランド州とバイロンベイがあるニューサウスウェールズ州の州境も封鎖となります。シドニー成田間はまだ飛んでいるようですが、それもいつ運休になるか、といった状況です。日本に帰国された方は、ウィルスの感染を広めないためにもオーストラリア政府が言うように、14日間自発的に隔離をお願いしたいところです。
