We are incredibly fortunate to have escaped the damage wreaked by tropical cyclone Jasper and the rain and flooding that followed.

Our beloved little beach cove has lost a few trees. The the driftwood and natural debris is being cleared.

Cairns Airport, roads and reef tours from Cairns have reopened and the FNQ region is begging for the return of our tourist to this unique and beautiful part of the world.

Yes, there is major clean up efforts and sorrow in many communities who have lost homes and belongings.

If you’re inclined, you could consider lending a hand in beach clean ups, donating but it’s your supporting local small businesses that will make a difference.

We are confident that you will have a beautiful holiday at The Big Beach House Tranquilty at Kewarra Beach.

The rain has stopped, our pool is crystal clear, the garden is extra lush and wildlife has returned.

We hope to see you back soon.

NYE Fireworks

There’s a family and community atmospheres in Kewarra Beach at NYC with Palm Cove fireworks visible from our little beach.

There are choice of three locations to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks.

Cairns Esplanade (and midnight fireworks at the Esplanade for the traditionalists)

Walker Road Sporting Precinct in Edmonton,

New Year’s Eve fireworks have traditionally been held at the Cairns Esplanade and Palm Cove. In 2021 the southside enjoyed their own fireworks and celebrations at Edmonton with a family movie from 7pm and a fireworks display launching from the Walker Road Sporting Precinct cricket oval at the family-friendly time of 8.30pm.

Send of 2021 with a bang! Celebrate with fireworks in the south, north and centre of the city plus a fun run and a movie night this New Year's Eve.
