šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§āœˆļø Important UK Travel Update for Dual Australian–British Citizens

Please read if you hold both British and Australian citizenship and are planning to visit the UK after 25 February 2026

From 25 February 2026, the UK is enforcing new entry rules:
šŸ”¹ If you are a dual Australia–UK citizen, you must enter the UK on your British passport
šŸ”¹ You cannot enter the UK on your Australian passport with an ETA if you are a British citizen
šŸ”¹ Airlines can refuse boarding if you don’t have the correct passport or proof of right of abode
āŒ Dual citizens do not need an ETA — but only if they use their British passport.
āš ļø This is already being enforced at airline level — not just at UK border control.
If you or your kids have dual citizenship, this is something to sort out well before booking flights. The current processing times for a UK passport reknewal is 6 to 12 weeks

šŸ‘‰ Save this post or share it with anyone travelling to the UK soon.

Im fresh back from Los Angeles as a guest of and . Here’s my thoughts on LA in 2025…Customs and immigration scrutiny is more than it was 2 years ago on my last visit. Even with your ESTA granted expect to be asked to show evidence of your hotel accommodation and your ticket home. Tourism is down in California, but it’s a very liberal state, and there’s a very welcoming vibe for international travellers. Hollywood and Beverly Hills feels safer and cleaner since my last visit. Universal studios fast passes are highly recommended and you’ll get everything done in 1 day with very little queues outside peak season. I visited during Australian school holidays and waited no more than 10 minutes for any ride. Some fantastic things you may not have considered in LA. For the active, hiking up to the Hollywood Sign, it’s only half a day, and well worth it…The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, great exhibits, interactive Oscar’s ceremony, really enjoyable Jaws 50th anniversary exhibition…The Grammy Museum, interactive exhibits, costumes, memorabilia..The Petersen Automobile Museum…essential for car fanatics, the Bat Mobile, James Bond Aston Martin’s, Scooby Doo Mystery Truck..all 3 museums are inexpensive and central.
LA has some incredible post COVID built stadiums. The SOFI stadium hosting NFL is a masterpiece of engineering and watching a game live with 70,000 people will live with me for a long time. Tickets inexpensive. The Kia Forum is a great architectural structure for concerts. I was fortunate to see Dua Lipa and the area around Inglewood is now trendy when on my first visit it was a No go area. The exchange rate is still unfavourable for now, so meals out are more than home, but getting around by uber and the driverless waymo taxis is cheap. Shopping is still cheaper for a lot of brands. Overall I was really impressed and left LA with a much more favourable opinion than when I arrived

New Entry Requirement for Thailand from 1 MAY 2025

Visitors to Thailand will need to complete a new digital arrivals card for entering the country on or after 1 May 2025.

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card replaces the long-standing paper ā€˜TM6’ arrivals card, and remains free of charge.

All visitors to Thailand arriving by air, sea or land must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card inside of 72 hours (three days) before they enter the country – similar to arrangements already in place in Singapore and Malaysia.

However, the digital arrival card isn’t required if you are transiting or transferring in Thailand without going through immigration control.

Just arrived back from Ecuador. The most ecologically diverse country on earth. Specifically the Yasuni Biosphere within the Amazon rainforest and aboard the Elite Luxury Yacht in the GalĆ”pagos Islands. Ecuador is incredible. Safe, modern and with some unique wildlife, found nowhere else on the planet. If you like African Safaris, I’d add Ecuador to your list
