As we count down to the arrival of our new C408 SkyCourier aircraft in just seven months, several members of the Hinterland Aviation leadership team recently travelled to Hawaii to spend time with the team at Lanai Air and experience the C408 SkyCourier firsthand.
Our COO Tristan Cabello, Head of Flying Operations Lexi Rockley, Head of Business Operations Liam Busby and Airport Operations Manager Nicole Fox had the opportunity to see the aircraft operating in a real-world regional environment and gain valuable insights from one of the world's most experienced C408 SkyCourier operators.
The team at Lanai Air have been incredibly welcoming, generous with their time and exceptionally helpful throughout the process. They have built a fantastic operation and have openly shared their experiences, lessons learned and operational knowledge as we prepare for the introduction of the type into Australia.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for our team to further develop their understanding of the aircraft and its capabilities, while also building relationships with an operator that has already demonstrated what the SkyCourier can achieve..
With our first aircraft now only seven months away, the excitement across the business continues to build. We look forward to bringing this next generation aircraft into service and delivering even greater reliability, capacity and connectivity for the regional and remote communities we serve.
