🌿 Planning a visit to Kuranda in 2026? Please read before booking 🚠

If Kuranda is on your Cairns itinerary next year, there will be some temporary changes to Skyrail operations due to scheduled maintenance and upgrade works.

📍 20 July – 18 August 2026
Skyrail Rainforest Cableway will be fully closed during this period.
Visitors can still travel to Kuranda on the Kuranda Scenic Railway with return train services operating as normal.

📍 19 August – 25 October 2026
Skyrail will operate only between Kuranda and Barron Falls Station.

During this time you can still:
✅ Catch the scenic train to Kuranda
✅ Experience the Skyrail section between Kuranda and Barron Falls
✅ Enjoy the rainforest views and return via the Skyrail loop
✅ Travel back to Cairns by coach transfer

Additional closure dates:
• 25–31 May 2026
• 1–3 June 2026
