A scientific and conservation expedition has set sail from Cairns for Australia’s largest and most remote marine park - the Coral Sea Marine Park 🌊 🐠
Over the next 2 weeks, a team of park managers, scientists and ecological specialists will travel more than 1,200 nautical miles across the Coral Sea Marine Park on board Spirit Of Freedom, visiting remote reefs, islands and cays. 👨🔬👩🔬
Together, they will gather critical data to better understand the health of the marine park’s reefs and islands and the species that call it home, and carry out important on-ground conservation work.
Stay tuned and follow our socials as we share updates and findings from the voyage.
