New Zealand was a journey of breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and world-class food and wine.
Crossing the Cook Strait, we sailed through the remote Marlborough Sounds on a Mailboat Cruise before visiting a family-owned Paua Pearl Farm. Here, we gained insight into their tranquil way of life, learned about pearl cultivation, and tasted fresh paua. A scenic train ride took us to Kaikoura, where an unforgettable dolphin swimming experience awaited. We found ourselves surrounded by a pod of 300 dusky dolphins, twirling and leaping in an awe-inspiring underwater ballet.
The adventure continued through the Southern Alps aboard the TranzAlpine train, leading us to Franz Josef, Ōkārito’s pristine wetlands, and a thrilling Haast River Safari. Queenstown was the perfect finale, with fine wine and breathtaking scenery.
