Each tour is planned to detail so you can enjoy the music, dancing, food, wines, brea

The South American pace is respected so you can breathe at ease absorbing the relaxing atmosphere in a sensible and balanced way. We offer accommodation that reflects the character and history of the place we visit avoiding expensive international hotel chains. Be surprised by the 500 years old architecture mixed with modern and vibrant cities. Enjoy the contrast of different styles that Spanish, Portuguese, African slaves and local Indigenous people left on intricate buildings, city squares, open air markets and sophisticated contemporary shops. Despite being a big city, Mexico is full of green spaces specially in the area close to the CBD. The most important one is Xochimilco. We will go there on a Saturday as many local families do over the week ends. Travelling in one of the colourful trajineras, we will be joined by "street vendors", singing charros and groups or families having their lunch on them. Let us know if this appeals to you as we will have limited numbers as is normal in our fully es**rted tours.

What can we say about Mexico City? Imagine 10 million people living in a city built on top of a lake, built following the legend that the Aztecs followed to built the capital of their Empire where they found an eagle eating a serpent on top of a cactus. When the Spaniards arrived, it was bigger than any other city in the world. Today you have that mixture of Aztec ruins, Spanish architecture, French style (there was a period where France was governed from here) and modern times. Will we be able to discover all this in five days? Of course not, but you will have a taste of it and will want to return for more.

CUBAN CIGAR is an inextricable part of Cuban culture and history. Even though the rest of the world evolved considerably in the last 500 years, most Cubans still firmly believe in the therapeutic values of to***co. It seems that Columbus introduced to***co plants into the island but the first local smokers were imprisoned as it was believed that cigar smoke would attract evil. The European market grew along the centuries, the handmade cigar making and production was passed across generations and became one of the main exports. Organically produced, there are many experts that would like to teach our fully es**rted passengers in our next visit to Cuba in February 2021. Contact us for more details.

Busking is an integral part of Cuban life since they re opened their doors to tourism. Not only there is a musical group in every corner, petrol station or Hotel lobby, but there are also people walking with funny attires hoping a distracted tourist will take a photo of them and then charging money for it. It took my street smarts a long way to get away from the 10 Euros that this kiss would have cost me, but the picture was worth the 3 that we settle for. We'll be back there in February 2021 and we still have some spots available (the group will be less than 15 people as always). Contact us now if you are interested.

Music is the soul and heart of Cuba. Their people spend most of their free time buzzing with their instruments in small groups or big family gatherings. The hypnotizing rhythms of percussion from African heritage have blended beautifully with Spanish melodic tunes. Dancing is a vital part of the Islanders and there is a “Casa de la Trova” or dancing hall in every town where local bands play and locals of any age go for dancing. We are again in Cuba in our Northern Treasures tour in February 2021. Pleas contact us to express your interest and find out more.

And finally, before we "leave" Guatemala, what about Orchids? Here are some examples of what can be on display. I never thought back then when I took this photos that one day I was going to be so hooked up.
