Planning your trip to Floriade? š· Hereās everything you need to know about getting to Commonwealth Park this spring! šøš
Walk, bike or scoot š¶āāļø Commonwealth Park is only a 15-minute stroll from the City Light Rail stop. Cycling? Bike racks are ready at every gate. Just donāt forget your lock. E-scooters are great to get there, but they canāt be taken inside the park.
Public transport made easy š Hop on free daily shuttles linking the City Centre, National Triangle and Floriade. On weekends (and during NightFest), catch the Floriade Express. Direct buses from Belconnen, Woden and Tuggeranong straight to Regatta Point. If youāre coming from Gungahlin, take the Light Rail to the City, then shuttle or walk in.
Arrive in style by ferry ā“ļø On weekends, Love Boats cruises from Kingston Foreshore or Queen Elizabeth Terrace drop you right at Floriade. A fun, scenic way to start your day on the lake!
Driving & parking tips š Limited parking is available at Regatta Point and West Basin. More options are close by at Canberra Centre, City Pool, the National Library of Australia and other National Triangle carparks, all connected by the free shuttle. Download the EasyPark app to make paying for parking simple. Accessible parking is right by the Regatta Point entry (with a valid permit).
