Warning: Leaf kicking highly likely 🍂 Canberra’s gone full autumn and honestly… she’s showing off. Rows of burnt orange and rusty reds have taken over the streets, and every step feels like walking through a crunchy, golden dream. 😍

Not all treasures are found in Canberra's galleries — some flow quietly through the bush 🌿💦 Just a short drive from the city, the Cascades Trail at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is a forest escape worth every step. 😍

Breathe in the scent of eucalyptus, listen for the echo of a lyrebird’s song, and follow the moss-lined trail through shaded gullies 😌 It’s where rainforest meets rock, and if you're lucky, you might spot a wallaby blending into the bush. 🦘

The full 2.6 km trail includes a steep climb — but the payoff? This waterfall moment, tucked between towering tree ferns and ancient stone. For something gentler, take the 2 km lower loop and still soak up the serenity.

🚗 Around 40 minutes from Canberra
👟 Moderate bushwalking with some steep sections

Autumn is one of the most breathtaking times to experience Canberra — and there’s no better place to take it all in than around . 🧡🍂

Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway or exploring the capital on a crisp evening, the bridge-to-bridge walk between Commonwealth and Kings Avenue bridges is a must. Framed by golden light and the changing trees as the sun dips behind the Brindabellas, this scenic loop is a favourite with locals and the perfect way for visitors to get a feel for our city. 😍

You’ll pass many of our iconic cultural attractions — from the National Library of Australia to Questacon, the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, and beyond — all within view from the lakeside path. Walk it, run it, or cycle it — this is Canberra in autumn at its most magical: vibrant, colourful, and so easy to explore. 🌳

A long time ago, in a homestead far, far away... 🌌 Deep in Namadgi National Park, the historic Orroral Homestead has stood quietly since the 1860s—now framed by some of the clearest views of the Milky Way you’ll find in the galaxy. The Force feels strong under these skies.

Whether you’re a Jedi Master, a scruffy-looking nerf herder, or just chasing that perfect starry night, this is the place to feel connected to something bigger than yourself. ✨
